Scent Notes: The single best way to describe this candle is that it distinctly smells of a fully decorated gingerbread house.

Once upon a time there were two siblings, we will call Hansel & Gretel, who were abandoned and lost in the woods where they came upon a wonderfully decorated home made of gingerbread, candies, frosting and other sweet delights. With crazed delight, they decided to invade the home to claim it for themselves. Discovering the home was occupied, they killed the elderly lady in her own home so they may enjoy it all on their own. At least that is they story we heard…

And this is why this candle carries this traditional wintertime scent and will only be available for a very limited time and is gone when gone.

Fragrance forward! JÖL does not shy away from scent. We avoid the overdone, overly familiar and the clichés of the candle world. We go bold, we go deep, and we do it with our own flair.

All our 1 Pint Paint Can Candles offer a long burn time using 100% cotton wicks and natural soy wax that is grown in the US. We use 100% naturally sourced “clean” scent oils that don’t require any special alerts or notices (ref: CA Prop 65) – phthalate free! The stainless steel can is able to withstand the heat and can be endlessly recycled or repurpose it for a plethora of uses. Using metal is part of our mission to be more sustainable. Metal won’t break, saving you and us from waste. It creates a perfect environment for efficiently burning the wax – and helps give that long 70 to 100 hours of burn time!

The cans are labeled with a slip of paper that is only taped on. Peel of the label and let that stainless steel can shine. You can wrap it with another design of your own choice or leave it be. If you forgot what the scent was, we labeled it on the bottom. Yes, the can gets hot when burning; just like glass or ceramic will.

Check the Use and Care tab for instructions and precautions to follow when burning your candle. Paint Can Candle orders will get 1 Opener Key – limit 1 per shipment. You may also use a larger sized flat edge screwdriver. DO NOT USE FINGERNAILS, KNIVES, OR SHARP INSTRUMENTS TO OPEN THE CAN! Please read our instructions on the best means to care for and burn your candle.

WARNING: BURN WITHIN SIGHT. KEEP FROM FLAMMABLE OBJECTS. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN, PETS AND PYROMANIACS.

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS: TRIM WICK TO 1/4” BEFORE LIGHTING. KEEP CANDLE FREE OF ANY FOREIGN MATERIALS; INCLUDING MATCHES AND WICK TRIMMINGS. ONLY BURN CANDLE ON A LEVEL, FIRE RESISTANT SURFACE. DO NOT BURN CANDLE FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS AT A TIME. STOP USE WHEN ONLY 1/4” OF WAX REMAINS.

Note: Do not place lid on a burning or hot candle. Do not move the candle once lit as the metal will be hot.

Recycle or Reuse the can! We specifically decided to use a container that can easily be reused or repurposed after use or be easily recycled. 100% steel can with lid can be cleaned after the candle has expired and used to store or hold non-food items. We made the label easy to remove so you can make them even more attractive to reuse. If you do not wish to reuse, then please recycle the metal over throwing it away.
